Robert Coote (1909-1982) was an English actor who originated the roles of Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady (1964) and King Pellinore in Camelot (1967). He also appeared in films such as Gunga Din (1939) and A Matter of Life and Death (1946). He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two and was nominated for a Tony Award for his musical performance.
