Ronnie Bond, died on 13 November 1992. In January 2012, Reg Presley retired after being diagnosed with lung cancer. The band carried on with new lead singer Chris Allen. Presley died on 4 February 2013. Bass guitarist and backing vocalist Pete Lucas died on 16 December 2023, his 73rd birthday.
13 de nov. de 2009 · May 4, 1943 – November 13, 1992. Ronnie Bond was the founding drummer for UK psychedelic rock band, the Troggs . Formed in 1964, the British Invasion band had such hits as “Wild Thing” and “Love is All Around.” The band broke up in 1969, with Bond going on to release a solo single that failed to ignite much of a career for him.
By 1964 as well as having a ‘proper job’ by day working as a bricklayer Reg was the bass player in the first line up of The Troggs. When that formation disbanded Reg and the drummer Ronnie Bond joined forces with Chris Britton and Pete Staples the remaining members of a rival Andover band Ten Feet Five.
