Hilo, string, estambre, piola, etc are commonplace made aout of cotton, not so commonplace for rope; but in this particular case I would still think of a typo, you just don't "drape" rope around a horse's neck, do you? that sounds to me like something you would do with cloth. Sep 6, 2018. #6. "Let's jump rope." is correct AmE and you jump rope with a jump rope. The "go" form is usually used with something that happens in another place. Let's go swimming. = Let's go to the pool/beach and swim. You can jump rope where you are so it would be unusual to include "go."

14 de feb. de 2015 · I've heard jump-roping, too (but then again, I'm originally from California), but jumping rope is, I think, considerably more common. I am familiar with skipping rope, too, but mostly from books. It sounds quaint and old-fashioned to me.

30 de oct. de 2020 · If you are playing the game, you are jumping rope if you're in the U.S. and skipping rope if you are in the UK. You are not jumping or skipping over a rope. The only time we would use the phrase "jump/skip over a rope" is in the contrived context that you saw some rope lying on the ground and you jumped or skipped over it.
