Let’s say, you want to study at the University of Edinburgh, you will require an A*AA-ABB, depending on the course. And, for Cambridge University, you need 3 to 4 A-level subjects.
Hace 4 días · In a nutshell, it’s hard to pick one from Ivy League v/s Russell Group as they both are highly prestigious. But they both have their own pros and cons. The Russell Group is a group of 24 leading research-intensive universities in the United Kingdom, while the Ivy League is a group of eight prestigious universities in the United States.
Therefore I feel as a "brand" the Russell Group is not ultimately reflective of the highest tier of institutions in terms of research and teaching quality. Perhaps group membership should be more dynamic, admitting or evicting universities that meet/don't meet necessary criteria - if the name "Russell Group" is to be meaningful for students and academics.

The Russell Group represents 24 "research intensive" universities which it claims are the "leading UK universities", being "world-class" for both research and teaching. It says this is good for its members and for the UK on the national and international levels.
