San Francisco Polytechnic High School was a public secondary school in San Francisco, California. Located from 1912 at 701 Frederick Street, across from Kezar Stadium, the school was in operation from 1884 until 1973.

The original Polytechnic High School, located at the intersection of Bush and Stockton Streets, was destroyed by the 1906 Earthquake and Fire. The new Polytechnic High School on Frederick Street opened in 1914. The boy's gym was added in 1929 and the girl's gym in 1937 as wings of the original building.

Though the roots of this school go back to 1884, it opened at its Carl Street location in 1914. Unfortunately, after a sad and racialized history in the 60s, the school was closed in the early 70s. The buildings were demolished in the mid 80s.

Our main rival was Lowell High. Connect with former students of Poly High. Poly was torn down in 1984, but our memories, good or bad, remain.
