We are committed to providing students with a broad liberal arts education focused on three intertwined values: creative expression, critical thinking and social engagement.
Master of Arts in Cinema| School of Cinema. Our M.A. program prizes the rich diversity of cinematic expression — whether critical examination of “mainstream” media production or independent or foreign filmmaking, experimental works or new media interventions including video installation — the faculty strives to broaden our students’ experience.
The M.F.A. in Cinema is intended for individuals who wish to pursue independent film and media production. A 60-unit terminal degree, the program offers students the opportunity to focus on any/all of the following areas: documentary, experimental and/or fiction.

The B.A. in Cinema strives to enable students to: Acquire basic skills in the critical analysis of films, focused by the analysis of representative film texts from a range of periods and cultures.
