Berry was born in Surrey [1] on 12 July 1909, the eldest son of William Berry, later first Viscount Camrose and first Baronet Berry of Hackwood Park, and Mary Agnes Berry, née Corns. [2] .

  6. He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa and Italy, and was mentioned in despatches. He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.). He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Camrose, of Hackwood Park, co. Southampton [U.K., 1941] on 15 June 1954.
