Sherrick is the only studio album from American soul singer and musician Sherrick, released by Warner Bros. in 1987. It was largely produced by Michael Stokes and Sherrick, except two tracks, one which was produced solely by Sherrick and another by Bobby Sandstrom and Steve Barri.
Sherrick was a promising R&B singer who recorded one album for Motown and another for Warner Bros., but his career was derailed by his cocaine addiction and personal problems. He died in 1999 after a brief comeback attempt.
Sherrick (July 6, 1957 – January 22, 1999) was an American soul musician. He was born F Lamonte-Smith; or Lamotte Smith in 1957 in Sacramento, California. Sherrick was given his professional break by Raynoma Gordy (née Singleton), former wife of Motown founder Berry Gordy.
