  3. Admissions - St Mary's School Ascot. The school accepts about 65 pupils each year. Entry is at 11+ (our main intake), 13+ or 16+ and is by the school’s own entrance examination, an interview and a report from the current school. About 40 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (11+), 20 to Year 9 (13+) and about 5 to the Sixth Form (16+).

  6. An Academic Community. Academic life at St Marys is not confined to the classroom. We are proud of having a vibrant, varied, pupil-led programme of events that is constantly responding to the needs and interests of the pupils and the world in which we live.

  7. St Marys School opened with just 19 pupils under the Headship of Sister Veronica Lund (1885-91). The earliest buildings remain at the heart of the school, including the Chapel, which was consecrated in 1906, and the layout of the estate included the rhododendrons and azaleas which still greet visitors as they come up the drive.
