With Kansas, Walsh has released 12 studio albums, six live albums, and numerous singles. He has released three solo albums thus far. In 1978 he was invited, as well as Kansas drummer Phil Ehart, to play on Steve Hackett's second solo album, Please Don't Touch. He sang on two of the songs, Narnia and Racing in A.

17 de oct. de 2023 · In 2014 Kansas co-founder Steve Walsh bowed to the inevitable and left the band. He’d been lead singer for almost their entire existence and so left a huge gap in the line-up. In 2016, they told Prog how they’d filled it and returned with The Prelude Implicit, their first album of the 21st century.
Fusing the complexity of British prog rock with an American heartland sound representative of their name, Kansas were among the most popular bands of the late '70s, with many of their hits becoming staples of AOR radio playlists.
