Stewart Jason Downing (born 22 July 1984) is an English footballer. He started playing for the Middlesbrough first team in 2001. He went on loan to Sunderland in 2003, and spent the next six years at Boro. When Boro were relegated, in 2009 he left to join Aston Villa, and spent the next two years there.
Stewart Downing is a Middlesbrough FC footballer. The winger played for the club from 2001 to 2009 before playing for Aston Villa, Liverpool and West Ham. He re-signed for Boro in summer 2015.
