Composer and performer Stuart Bogie was born in Evanston, Illinois. He studied for 6 Years with Gary Onstad and at the Music Center of the North Shore before attending Interlochen Art Academy and the University of Michigan where he studied with Debra Chodacki.
Stuart Bogie has toured and recorded with Antibalas, Arcade Fire, TV on the Radio and Iron & Wine, while performing as a soloist in the Broadway production, Fela! As a composer & arranger, he scored Oscar-nominated documentary 'How To Survive a Plague' while leading his own band, Superhuman Happiness.
Bogie presented his solos in concert in August 2020, set on a grassy hill with audience members spread out on blankets. The drone weaved in and out of a program that included music by Ellington and Bach.
