Subway Academy II is the only school in the TDSB that provides an independent study program for folks in Toronto. We are a small, semestered alternative school offering grade 11 and 12 college, mixed, university and open level courses in the arts, First Nation, Métis, and Inuit studies, humanities, social sciences, English and math.

History of Subway II. Subway Academy II opened in April 1976 with fifteen students and two teachers at 296 Brunswick Avenue. In September 1976 enrollment grew to sixty students. For five years Subway II co-existed with The Three Schools until we moved to 304 Brunswick.
Students are offered more flexibility in terms of setting their own schedules while adhering to the expectations on an individualized programme.Subway Academy II would best suit mature, independent, and self-driven students.
