For better or for worse, Summer Solstice is one of the most romantic films I have ever seen. It rises above and beyond its low production values, simple premise and curio interest status with an exquisite domain on emotion and a very down to earth presentation and dissection of a relationship.

Synopsis by Hal Erickson. Hollywood veterans Henry Fonda and Myrna Loy co-starred for the first and only time in the 60-minute TV drama Summer Solstice. Fonda and Loy portray Joshua and Margaret Turner, who during their fiftieth year of marriage pay a visit to the Cape Cod beach where they first fell in love.
