Tchavolo Schmitt (born 1954 in Paris) is a Romani jazz guitarist. Schmitt performed as a member of various ensembles in the 1970s. Then he settled in Strasbourg and left the professional circuit for a time, releasing solo albums in 2000. He played Miraldo in the Tony Gatlif film Swing.

Initié dès l'âge de 6 ans à la guitare par sa mère alors que son père pratiquait le violon, il rejoint sa famille à Strasbourg en 1965. Il s'y produit au cabaret de la Choucrouterie, dès son ouverture.
