Hace 17 horas · In the early 1980s, Gordon Kahl, a former Posse Comitatus member, helped radicalize sovereign citizen anti-government rhetoric. Kahl considered that the government was not only illegitimate but actively hostile to the interests of Americans. After Kahl was killed in 1983 during a shootout with law enforcement, he was considered a martyr within the movement, which helped disseminate his views.
