The Kinks fue una banda de rock británica, formada por Ray Davies (voz principal, guitarra rítmica), Dave Davies (guitarra líder, voz), Pete Quaife (bajo, coros) y Mick Avory (batería y percusión). Los hermanos Davies fueron miembros constantes de la banda durante 32 años. Avory abandonó en 1984, debido a una disputa con Dave Davies y fue reemplazado como batería por Bob Henrit.
