Three of these volumes are brought together in this Readers Book Club Omnibus, published in 1956: The Little World of Don Camillo, Don Camillo and the Prodigal Son and Don Camillo's Dilemma. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found the omnibus in a street library, especially as I no longer have the original penguins.
I believe the dubbed version of "The Little World of Don Camillo" is still available in vintage video catalogs (that's where I got my VHS edition in 1998), and it's worth looking for, especially for fans of the warm and whimsical tales on which it is based. 20 out of 23 found this helpful.
19 de ago. de 1986 · I first read Giovanni Guareschi's The Little World of Don Camillo in about 1964, when it was part of a high school English curriculum with a leadership theme. The book is an enjoyable, earthy, and good-natured series of tales of the Catholic priest in an Italian village and the Communist mayor of the village, who is the priest's long-time friend and a life-long Catholic.
