  3. 6 de abr. de 2017 · Hitchin is good for 'watching trains go by' (Slow Line platforms have clear view to Fast Lines in middle), and you can watch the junction work. Doncaster is unbeatable for variety of movements, where the 'action' rarely lets up. WCML. Stafford or Crewe. Rugby isn't as 'good' these days in my view.

  4. 4 de feb. de 2013 · Best locations for each region: North East - Barnetby or Doncaster. North West (North) - Carlisle. North West (South) - Acton Bridge or Peak Forest (Can be hit & miss, not recommended to just turn up blind) Midlands - Stafford but lots of other places that are also busy; Nuneaton, Rugby, Water Orton, Tamworth.

  5. 25 de jul. de 2012 · BLACKPOOL. Trainspotting is the number 1 thing people are ashamed to admit above anything else. It's because the average response you'd get from most people is horrendous. However if I wasnt into trains I probably wouldnt have this job now that pays £30k basic or £50k with overtime, and had this just 2 years into my working career.

  6. 20 de mar. de 2018 · Messages. 1. Hi there, I've been introduced to this hobby by my boyfriend but new to it myself. We're interested getting some photos of the Eurostar in Kent preferably with countryside in the background. I live in Manchester but taking a trip down south at Easter and wondered if you had any recommendations. I'm going to be staying in Deal.

When I am trainspotting i carry a notebook for quick scribbles but I mainly use a trainspotting app on my phone (that also has a record function for transcribing later if i'm trying to get a lot at once). The app i use is handy as it can handle multiple data sets at once and if i only get 1 carriage number of a set i will mark the set as seen.

  9. 15 de may. de 2018 · 3,350. Why is Doncaster the last stronghold of trainspotters? While you will see the occasional spotter/photographer at most main line stations, Doncaster seems to always have around 20 people on its platform ends. There were also at least three on Bently station today spotting which given Doncaster is only a few minutes away seems a bit odd.

  10. 22 de abr. de 2017 · Lancashire. Newport is a decent place for 66's 70's class 143/150/158/170/175. HST's you also get the odd class 60 tug and Colas 47/56 on the rare occasion. Cardiff is the best for 142's and 143's and 150's and I prefer to call it an healthy obsession as I like pacers myself. Bristol Temple Meads is the place for 150's 153's 158's and HST'S ...
