Trevor Berbick was a Jamaican-born Canadian heavyweight boxer who fought from 1976 to 2000. He won the WBC title in 1986 by defeating Pinklon Thomas, but lost it to Mike Tyson in his first defense.
Won a Bronze Medal for Jamaica at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City. He lost on points in the heavyweight semifinals to Michael Dokes of the United States. Represented Jamaica as a heavyweight at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Berbick lost in the first round to eventual Silver Medalist Mircea Simon of Romania.
