Hace 4 días · The Nitro name, which finally stuck, was a reference to WCW Monday Nitro, the flagship show of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for which Bischoff had previously worked, using the Nitro theme as his ring entrance music. Nitro acted as Bischoff's apprentice and assistant until June, when he was sent back to OVW.

April 2001. Once ht contact iwht Time Warner expires, WCW announces that Monday Nitro will be broadcast on the new Channel FX. At a press conference Eric Bischoff and Brian Bedol, announce that WCW headquarters will move from Atlanta to Las Vegas, where weekly Nitro will be broadcast from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Hey remember at Superbrawl 2000 when Rowdy Roddy Piper showed up as the special troubleshooting referee and then his involvement was never explained and then was never mentioned again? Just remembered that. Good times.
Hace 5 días · Nash won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship again from Booker T on the August 28, 2000 episode of Monday Nitro in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He eventually lost it to Booker T later on at Fall Brawl. He even had a stint as WCW Commissioner, and he served as a coach/mentor to the Natural Born Thrillers, who would eventually turn on Nash.
