While Crossing to Safety was Stegner’s final novel, Remembering Laughter was his first – a brief, beautifully written story of marital infidelity, intense bitterness and the refusal to forgive.

I read some Wallace Stegner in college, and I thought that I had read this one, but I hadn't. I'm definitely going to read some more of his books. Posted by Ruth at 2:28 AM.
