Walter Augustus de Havilland (31 August 1872 – 20 May 1968) was an English patent attorney who became professor of Law at Waseda University and was one of the first Westerners to play the game of Go at a high level. He was the father of film stars Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine.

Fue un abogado y juez británico, conocido por ser el padre de las actrices Olivia de Havilland y Joan Fontaine. De Havilland estudió en Cambridge y fue llamado a la barra en 1897. Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, se desempeñó como abogado de la corona y fue nombrado juez de la Corte Suprema de Ontario en 1922.
