Hace 4 días · Gloucester Abbey was dissolved in 1540, and in 1541 its church became the cathedral of the new diocese of Gloucester and with its precinct and claustral buildings was placed in the custody of the newly incorporated dean and chapter. The original bounds of the precinct are not known.
