  2. The competition is held in Copenhagen, Denmark, and awards prizes to the best string quartet and wind quintet performances. The winners of the 2023 competition are Kleio Quartet, a British ensemble, and Ensemble Astera, a French ensemble, who performed the commissioned work by the Danish composer Carl Nielsen.
