  3. In 2022 the Carl Nielsen International Competition is expanding to include an integrated programme of informal mentoring, coaching and networking opportunities, especially created to support and develop the participants’ horizons in preparation for their future careers.

Contestants. 24 candidates for each competition - violin, flute and clarinet - have been been selected by a pre-jury panel consisting of instrumental soloists, orchestral musicians and international managers. A seven member jury for each instrument will be present for the competitions themselves.
