It has not been recognised by 78 countries, including Russia (which backs Serbia’s position), China, five EU Member States and most Asian, Latin American and African countries.
Hace 5 días · Kosovo declared independence in 2008, and it has received diplomatic recognition from 114 UN member states and the Republic of China, while 18 of those states have recognised Kosovo only to later withdraw their recognition.
2 de may. de 2024 · Remarkably, of the 131 delegates who voted for the motion, 13 came from countries that presently do not recognize Kosovo’s sovereignty. Yet despite that unequivocal message from the Assembly, it is not yet clear whether Kosovo can overcome the final hurdle in the Council of Ministers, which will make the ultimate decision.
