Deià és una vila i municipi de la Serra de Tramuntana de Mallorca. Limita amb els municipis de Valldemossa, Sóller i Bunyola. El seu nom prové de l'època de dominació musulmana, del mot àrab "addaya" (ضَيْعَة), que significa "llogaret".
