The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) oversees Saint Mary’s graduate programs and supports the university’s research endeavours.

FGSR embraces a diverse student body and welcomes participation in its programs from international students. The Faculty is engaged in a number of joint international initiatives where up to half of a program is completed at a partner institution. First class international applicants compete for a limited number of entrance awards.
FGSR will manage the final review, awarding, notification and payments of all Women in STEM Entrance students. The successful awardees will be paid out over 2 consecutive semesters ($5,000 per semester). All FGSR Funding is subject to annual budgetary approval and up to the discretion of the Dean of FGSR.
