Mutulu Shakur (born Jeral Wayne Williams; August 8, 1950 – July 7, 2023) was a convicted murderer, New African activist, and a member of the Black Liberation Army who was sentenced to sixty years in prison for his involvement in a 1981 robbery of a Brinks armored truck in which a guard and two police officers were murdered.
9 de ago. de 2022 · Dr. Shakur is now 71 years old, has suffered 2 strokes, glaucoma, and has been battling Stage 3 bone marrow cancer for the last 2 ½ years while serving COVID19 twice. Although he received a bone marrow transplant, his cancer is not curable — he will require continuing treatment and cancer management, until the end of his life.
