Gerson is confusing. So in the genocide route, when you ask Gerson if he's a hero, he says that he isn't. In the True Pacifist route, you can ask Gerson if he's a hero and he says he is. (I don't have any True Pacifist saves lying around, but there's probably a picture online) Is the game contradicting itself?
I've been thinking about how Gerson in Deltarune seems to have some parallels with Gaster. He doesn't appear in person, but is constantly referenced. He is described as "brilliant" before dying and being replaced by Alphys. In Deltarune, this information comes from Alvin; in Undertale, from the Gaster followers.
