Con un aforo oficial de 22 859 personas, el nuevo GSP pasó a ser el estadio más grande de Chipre. Localizado a la entrada de Nicosia (se puede llegar a él a través de la autopista A1), lo inauguraron en 1999 el presidente Glafcos Klerides y el arzobispo Chrysostomos I.
GSP Stadium is one of the few stadiums on Cyprus that fully complies with UEFA requirements, and is therefore also used by most other Cypriot teams for European matches. It is furthermore the home of the Cypriot national team.

Inspired by modernist art., the New national stadium of Cyprus was built in 1999 as the main arena of a multi-use Pancypria complex in the southern outskirts of Nicosia. Neo GSP, as the name suggests, replaced the old GSP stadium that existed in downtown.
