Based on his report, two bullets penetrated the shoulder and two bullets went into Lennon's back. Dr. Gross said that he died of shock and massive blood loss, and added that the death was almost immediate.

The guy who took the photo received $5,000 from the National Enquirer. John Lennon was cremated the very next day.
