Personal life. Eriksson's mother is of Finnish descent. She is openly lesbian and, since 2014, in a relationship with Danish international Pernille Harder. She and Harder work with the charity Common Goal and pledged 1% of their salaries to help tackle social issues throughout football.

For four of the six seasons Magda Eriksson was at Chelsea she was the captain. In all four of those the team she led were crowned champions and on three occasions, upgraded that to double-winners. The defender joined Chelsea from Linkopings in her native Sweden ahead of the 2017/18 season and made the perfect start to life in blue, scoring on her debut against Bristol City.
