Makoto Iwamatsu (岩松 信, Iwamatsu Makoto, December 10, 1933 – July 21, 2006) was a Japanese-American actor, credited mononymously in almost all of his acting roles as simply Mako (マコ). His career in film, on television, and on stage spanned nearly fifty years and 165 productions, from 1959 to 2007.
Mako was a Japanese-American actor who starred in films such as The Sand Pebbles, Conan the Barbarian, and Pearl Harbor. He also worked as a production designer and a soundtrack performer, and co-founded the East-West Players theatre company.

Mako was a Japanese-American actor and voice artist who appeared in various films, TV shows and video games. He is best known for voicing Aku in Samurai Jack, Uncle Iroh in Avatar: The Last Airbender and Splinter in TMNT.
