The 35-year-old German worked as coach of our U18 academy team between 2019 and 2021 as well as a coach at FC Liefering, before he became head coach of our Red Bulls in 2021.

In two seasons in charge, Jaissle won consecutive Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian cup, and in 2021/22 led Salzburg to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in their history. A 1-1 first-leg draw with German giants Bayern Munich gave hope of a round-of-16 miracle, but a heavy away defeat put paid to that idea.

28 de jul. de 2023 · FC Red Bull Salzburg has temporarly released coach Matthias Jaissle. The reason for that is the wish of the 35-year-old German, expressed just two days before the start of the 2023/24 ADMIRAL Bundesliga season, to move to Al-Ahli SFC. The discussions required with the Saudi Arabian club on the matter are entering their final phase.
