I'm not sure how it's produced, but when the gold overlay gets scratched, you'll see the silver toned metal underneath. I don't think it can be polished.

The original bags sold out quickly and were difficult to find. The Astor is still around, although it's gone through a few changes here and there.

My Hamilton Satchel in pebbled leather is from MK regular boutique, and my SLG's (small leather goods) are from the outlet. I can see the difference between the quality and color.

Price range is 50-75 which I don't think is bad at all. Wow! I see these Selmas on sale all the time for 298.00 under 300.00. I guess it depends which one you get.

It was very warm, I think even warmer than the North Face down I have now. The only problem I had was the zipper. It broke and even after I had the zipper tag repaired it broke again.

Most say he is tacky, the logo all over the place and many claim bad quality. About the Logo not all his bags are with logo, he has many which are just the color and the name in a small placate.

In today's world I would say Cole Haan, Michael Kors and then Coach because I think Coach has dwindled a bit in their quality department these days, and I own all three to speak from this experience.
