Hace 5 días · Minnesota's Slogan Land Of 10,000 Lakes Started During WWI. I was recently watching an episode from Minnesota Historia from PBS North, and they offered the historical background of where the slogan started. It goes all the way back to 1917. It's the same period as the First World War.

Short History A part of what is today Minnesota was ceded to Britain by the French in 1763, and 20 years later, in 1783, acquired by the United States. The remainder formed a portion of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. Minnesota joined the Union on 11th May 1858, as the 32nd state.
