Prior to registering for courses, most students attending Nassau Community College will be required to take a computerized placement test called Accuplacer. This test will be used to determine the appropriate level of course work for you to begin your studies at Nassau Community College.

The essay part of the test has a one hour time limit. The reading and math tests are multiple choice, and are un-timed.

The math on the Nassau Community College ACCUPLACER placement test covers Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. Make sure your preparation only includes the topics on the test - nothing more and nothing less.
