Ray Collins wasn’t always an ocean photographer. He used to work in the mountains of the Illawarra, mining for coal.
Australian photographer Ray Collins first picked up a camera in 2007, taking photos of his friends surfing near his home. His interest and attention quickly shifted to patters and forms in the seascape as evidenced by his mesmerizing work. Collins is also drawn to the interplay of light and water.
