i won't even go into bruce encouraging his audience in 1978 to read ron kovic's "born on the 4th of july" which was blatantly anti-war. or the story about his father (who was most probably a republican which is what caused a lot of strife in their relationship) actually being happy that bruce failed his physical and was therefore not drafted.
