Stargate: Extinction was a planned Stargate Atlantis movie. Overview. The script was written by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie. The movie featured Atlantis, having been relocated to the Earth's Moon, needing to return to Pegasus due to a failsafe on the city where an Auto-destruct was activated in the event the city was taken out of Pegasus.

MGM commissioned Mallozzi and Paul Mullie to write a film script, and SCI FI announced it would air the movie after its premiere on DVD. Extinction would have seen Atlantis on a wild, time-travel trip back to the Pegasus Galaxy.
