Meet Our Faculty. Stephen O. Presley. Dr. Presley is Director is Associate Professor of Church History. He has taught courses at several universities and seminaries and continues to teach graduate and post-graduate courses in church history and historical theology, as well as courses in early Christian theology, exegesis, apologetics, and worship.
Stephen O. Presley takes us back to the first few centuries AD to show us how the first Christians approached cultural engagement. Amid a pagan culture that regarded their faith with suspicion, early Christians founded a religious movement that transformed the ancient world.
Stephen O. Presley is the Senior Fellow for Religion and Public Life. Presley leads CRCD’s Religion and Public Life initiative that strives to offer a positive vision of religion for the public square.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Baylor University, Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. I am married to Haley and we have four children, Isla, Emma, Luke, and Andrew and we reside in McKinney, TX. This personal website gathers my research, writing, and speaking into one place.
