suGar Yoshinaga is a musician/ composer/ lyricist/ producer, most notably as the guitarist/ voice of Buffalo Daughter which releases 8 original albums worldwide from its 1996 debut on Beastie Boys’ US label Grand Royal. She was born in Fukuoka and raised in Tokyo in the family who loved music, and started playing the piano at the age of 4.

Their sound is heavily influenced by German progressive rock and techno-pop, but also includes bits of dub, club, shoegaze and post-rock influences.
