For the 2024/2025 academic year, OIS awards will be valued at $10,000 – $25,000. Eligibility. To be considered for an OIS Award, you must: Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college). Be an international student studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
You must have graduated from high school no earlier than one gap year prior to the academic year you are applying to. For example, applicants for 2024 Winter session must have graduated from high school no earlier than November 2022. You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
High school applicants from outside Canada: Deadline to submit required documents to UBC. April 15 to 30, 2024: Scholarship announcements. If you’ve been awarded a Presidential Scholars Award or an International Scholars Program award, you’ll be notified. May to June 2024: Admissions decisions
