Autor y ensayista británico, Christopher Tolkien (1924-2020) es conocido por ser el hijo de J.R.R. Tolkien . Tolkien estudió en la Dragon School de Oxford y la Oratory School. Sirvió por algún tiempo como piloto en la RAF y posteriormente trabajó como profesor de Inglés en Oxford, hasta que pasó a encargarse del legado literario de su padre.
