Ilona Gusenbauer ( Austria, 16 de septiembre de 1947) es una atleta austriaca retirada, especializada en la prueba de salto de altura en la que llegó a ser medallista de bronce olímpica en 1972 y plusmarquista mundial desde el 4 de septiembre de 1971 al 24 de septiembre de 1972, con un salto de 1.92 metros. 1 .
Ilona Gusenbauer (* 16. September 1947 in Gummersbach bei Köln; als Ilona Majdan) ist eine ehemalige österreichische Leichtathletin. Sie ist 16-fache Österreichische Staatsmeisterin (zehnmal Staatsmeisterin Hochsprung und sechsmal Basketballmeisterin mit Union Firestone Wien).
Ilona Maria Gusenbauer (née Majdan on 16 September 1947) is a retired Austrian high jumper. She competed at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and finished in eighth and third place, respectively. She held the world record for more than a year starting in 1971, and was the Austrian champion in 1966–1973, 1975 and 1976. [1]
She went on to become the Austrian high jump champion in 1966-1973, 1975-76, and competed at the 1968 Mexico City and 1972 München Olympics. Gusenbauer came eighth in 1968 and won the bronze medal four years later.
4 de sept. de 2022 · Four international successes five decades ago mark the great career of high jumper Ilona Gusenbauer. In March 1970 she won the European indoor title in Vienna, a year later she took gold at the European Championships in Helsinki and earned Olympic bronze in Munich in 1972.
