Two things need to be kept in mind: first, Papyrus isn't violent. He is fundamentally nice, and whishes no harm on the human. This stays true even if Frisk goes all murdery. Papyrus genuinely believes in Frisk's good nature, and is willing to do anything, including giving his own life, to try and bring it out.
